A Quiet Family Retreat
on Skootamatta Lake

Star Cross Cottages is a small, family-run getaway — three cottages set along a quiet bay on Skootamatta Lake, near the village of Cloyne and just south of Bon Echo Provincial Park in Ontario's Addington Highlands. It's classic Canadian Shield country: clear water, pink granite, and tall pines, with the kind of quiet that's getting harder to find.

We're putting the finishing touches on our full website. For now this is just a placeholder — reach out any time and we'll be glad to tell you more.

Three Cottages on the Bay

Three cottages share a single quiet bay on Skootamatta Lake, near Cloyne and Bon Echo. Full details and photos are on the way with our new website — for now, here's a glimpse of the setting.

Skootamatta Lake

A jewel of the Land O'Lakes region, Skootamatta Lake is known for clean, clear water, excellent bass and walleye fishing, and the kind of quiet that's becoming rare. Its name comes from an Ojibwe word meaning "burnt shoreline." Ringed by Crown land and Precambrian granite, it sits a short drive from Bon Echo Provincial Park — yet only a few hours from Toronto or Ottawa.
